Is it too late to sue for the cause of cancer to a baby?
My little sister was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma (a very rare cancer) when she was 14 weeks old. At birth you could tell something was wrong, her stomach was swollen (a symptom of the cancer), but she was not diagnosed until 14 weeks like i said.
At the time I was only 12 so I really didn’t know about suing for the cause. When my sister was diagnosed and undergoing chemo-therapy (this was about 6 years ago) there was not much information on the cause of Neuroblastoma at all. My family always knew that the cause had to have been from where my mother worked (a glue making factory where she was exposed to dangerous chemicals, and using her bare hands in them because the company did not tell the workers to use caution and wear gloves) Well today I was bored looking online and found a site where they have doen research finding that babies diagnosed with Neuroblastoma can get this due to where the mother or father worked, if they were being exposed to chemicals. Is it too late to sue?
There is no known cause for childhood neuroblastoma . . because of this type of uncertainty alot of misinformation pops up on the Internet . . recheck your source and examine their documentation . . if it is legitimate you should be able to locate information at the National Library of Medicine (PubMed) . . . there are many unreliable websites that make claims that cannot be back up by scientific fact.
