Should I retire the baby carrier?
This is going to seem like a silly quandry but I’m feeling indecisive and would love some good feedback.
My daughter is 17 months and weighs 30 lbs. She’s a good walker, climber, busy bee in general. I have a Beco Carrier that I am thinking about consigning soon. I honestly haven’t used it since June or July. But I know it holds up to 45 pounds. I just feel a little guilty getting rid of such an expensive piece of equipment before I’ve used it to its limit.
How many of you are wearing babies bigger than this and what do you think I should do? I also have a BOB stroller that I use all the time and am not parting with.
She is the last baby so once it’s done– that’s it. then again, maybe it’s like every other baby thing– I just want to keep it to hold onto the idea…

If that is your only carrier, might want to hold onto it.
You could end up going somewhere where strollers are not allowed. We used our carriers on golf carts visiting my parents in their retirement community in Florida. You carry the babies in carriers, instead of car seats.
You never know.
I think it is reasonable to keep it until she has outgrown it, since it may be necessary for something. But once she hits 3 or 45 pounds, sell that sucker.
Outgrown clothes and toys – sell em. But this is something you may find you do actually need. Sell the emotional attachment stuff, keep the “I might need this soon” stuff.
You may want it for hiking for instance. I think it makes sense to keep it for now, in case you need a carrier. It happens!

Anyone else have trouble cleaning after having a baby? If so, what’d you do about it?
It seems my little one is attached to my hip… I can’t put him in his sling to clean either, he somehow knows when I’m not actually walking around lol…. Sometimes, just SOMETIMES, he’ll sit in his walker or carrier and watch me….
What about you?
With my first I used to wait until nap or bed times and clean after he went to sleep. Also I used to do bit by bit. So bathroom one day, bedroom the next, vacumming all at once etc. Now my oldest is a toddler I also get him involved by giving him a duster and having him “help”. I just had my second 6 weeks ago and do the same things again. It’s not too overwhelming if done a little at a time.
