What causes a baby to be born late?
I know babies are induced if they are still in there after two weeks after their due date, but what causes them to not come out? Is it something the mother did during pregnancy?
(Also, please don’t say “don’t worry” or “talk to your doctor”. I’m not pregnant. This is just out of curiosity.)
It’s nothing the woman did or did not do during pregnancy. Each baby, each pregnancy is different. Remember – only ripe apples fall from the tree when they are ready. Same thing with babies – they stay in there until THEY are ready to come out.
Doctors only induce around 2 weeks after the due date to ensure that the placenta doesn’t weaken, which can happen.
Also remember that due dates are estimated and can be off by up to 2-3 weeks.

What is the name of this girl talking doll from the late 1980s?
She was a toddler or young girl doll with blonde hair in a blue box.
She could be programmed to say LOTS of different girls’ names to personalize play with the owner. If the kids’ name was Anne, the dolll could say “Hi Anne.”
She was NOT: Cricket, Patty Play Pal, Baby Talk, Baby Heather, Jill, Julie, Pamela, Amazing Amy, Talking Tina, Chatty Kathy, a Talking Cabbage Patch Kid, or a Teddy Ruxpin like doll.
All the names of the girls the doll could say were listed on the back of the box!
Wow, I vaguely remember this, and have often wondered what the doll was. too. Did she list off the names in alphabetical order, so you would squeeze her when she said your name?
