Baby Strollers Reports
Stroller Question…20 character.?

I have decided againist the travel system. Too many health reports regarding the baby’s posture as well as other parents saying they weren’t as convinent as expected(please no comments, thsi is what I have decided for my baby.)Anyway, I am trying to get all the reviews I can for strollers.I want a lightweight, easy to fold one that is easy to maneuver. How early can you place the baby in the stroller? I don’t want to attach a car seat but simply put the baby in there, so what age & what precautions do I need to take?

dont get an overly expensive stroller. its a waste of money that you could spend on other things the baby will enjoy more. there are plenty of strollers out there that you can place a baby in, and as long as there is some sort of neck support or you can put the back completely flat then the stroller will be safe even when the baby isnt old enough to hold his or her head up. maybe you could try babywearing? since you emphasized you wanted something lightweight and everything that is easy. a simple pouch or wrap style carrier is very light weight, not bulky at all, and keeps the baby safely right up against you =].

good luck!

EDIT: hannas mommie, that was a great idea. i agree, go to babiesrus if you have one and try them out. you can even put your baby in it and push him or her around to see how he/she likes it! =]

Baby Bjorn and other carriers

I have been looking at a Bjorn for when the baby comes and was wondering if anyone else has one or a similar carrier that has any negative or positive feedback on it. I’ve searched online and most reports have been positive but they are all on the actual Bjorn site so I’m leery if they just don’t publish negative ones

Also if anyone has suggestions for a back up stroller/what makes you love yours or hate it.

Thank you all!

I have a Baby Bjorn carrier, and I love it and highly recommend it. I bought mine at a second hand consigment shop and it was in excellent, like new condition. I have used it heavily, and it is still in great condition to be used again-and did not pay a hefty price for it.

My daughter is ten months old now, and it is a bit uncomfortable. I think a big part of that is because of my height (I am only 5 ft.) and I can not adjust it to be comfortable for me without her head hitting my chin, etc.

It is extremely durable, though, and comfortable! I have used several other kinds and I definitely prefer this one.

If you look up products at Amazon.com, there are usually feedback comments from customers that have used theproduct. Babies R Us also has that feature. Another site is http://www.ePinions.com

As for strollers, mine is a Graco Quattro Deluxe or something of the sort…it is part of a travel system (infant car seat carrier and stroller). I absolutely LOVE this system, stroller included.

The stroller is bulkier than umbrella strollers, but it folds up with one hand. I also think that it makes it a lot more comfortable for my daughter to ride in, and because of its size will be comfortable for her for some time to come (she is not a year yet).

One of the things I like best about this stroller is that it has a flap that folds up to close off hte area that an older child’s feet would stick out of-this is meant to be used when the baby is an infant and is laying flat in the stroller. Well, during ball season this year we would close that off and recline the seat and my daughter used her stroller as a mini play pen. It came in VERY handy as we were at the field four nights a week for atleast a couple hours. She was 5-9 months during that time. All we had to do was toss in a few toys, and she stayed very content.

It has a large storage basket, five point harness (but you can leave off the shoulder straps if you wish), cup and snack holders for the baby, cup holders for the parent as well as several other cubbies for keys, cell phone, etc. It has a window in the canopy so that you can peak in on the baby with the canopy over hte baby. Also, if you use the infant carrier on the stroller, you can completely block the baby from wind/rain/etc. by using the canopy for the car seat and the one from the stroller, yet the window allows you to still see the baby.

I hope this helps!

I hope this helps!
