Childcare Question for Infant?
I’m having my baby late January.. I plan to take off about 3 months of work after wards. When I return back to work I will be working 3 days a week, thus meaning the baby will be in daycare 3 days. Both my job and the daycare are very flexible in which days I’ll be working. My question is:
Would it be easier on both my baby and me to have him there Mon, Tues, and Wed or
Would it be easier to alternate so he’s there Mon, Wed, and Fri.
As far as him transitioning I’m just wondering if it would be better to have him at daycare 3 days in a row then have 4 days in a row with me, or is the alternating days a better option.
I’m a first time mommy so I’m very thankful that I have the option of only working 3 days during the week, I just want to make a decision based on what would be better for the baby and being in a daycare environment. Comments would be great appreciated, and others that have been in my shoes before. Thanks!
I am a nanny, my most recent experience is with a newborn who started in my care when they were 3 months old. One of the most important aspects of taking care of an infant is to build up a good routine with them. If they are constantly being adjusted to different schedules, that is when things tend to go haywire. In my opinion, mommy and baby would be much happier going Mon, Tues, Wed to work/childcare, and then having Thur-Sun together. This way baby can develop a fairly normal schedule, and feel like they are getting lots of time and love from mom!

Shoes for walking baby?
Our daughter is 13m and has been walking for the past month. Our ped recommended shoes that have a soft, flexible sole. Can any mommies and daddies out there recommend a brand+style of shoe you are happy with and found to be a reasonable deal?
BTW-We had also heard that barefoot is the best for home. We just need a shoe for when we are out of the house. We live in the Midwest, so a nice warm shoe for the upcoming fall/winter is probably most appropriate. Thanks!
I have been buying my daughter Pediped shoes for awhile now, and i love them. They say they are the next best thing to bare feet. They are super comfy and have a soft and flexible sole. Another really great thing about them, is they can’t be kicked off, which i love, because that’s all my daughter does with other brands. Pediped shoes are the only ones she seems happy to wear. They come in great styles too!
