is this ok? i feel a little bad but..?
my daughter is 2months and i havent barely got a break, i love her to death but mommies do need breaks, every time my fiance gives me a break i end up not gettin a break cuz i end up goin to look for a job and im trying to get my g.e.d so its not a break really and today i am soo tired so i put my baby in her play pen then she started crying so i just put her in her swing cuz i was too tired to rock her to sleep and i dont want to end up dropping her i was just being safe but i still couldnt sleep til my fiance got home for work so i just left her in there for a while…do you think its ok or am i bein a bad mommy? i finally took a nap tho its really hard to sleep in the day tho
yes we have her on a scedule, and me and my fiance take turns feeding but it seems we are both getting worn out, he works in the day and i watch hwer then when he gets home he takes over til bedtome we take turns
You are not being a bad mom. Everyone needs a break sometimes. Putting her in her swing for a while is not going to hurt her at all.

Why do some people think that putting a baby in a play pen is cruel?
I have put both of my children in play pens from time to time. When I’ve mentioned this to a select few people, I’ve gotten some weird looks, one woman actually told me that its cruel, as its like putting them in a cage.
What is the big deal? I let my son crawl around, play & get exercise too. But let’s face it, we mom’s need to get things done sometimes and its pretty hard to do when you have to chase a baby around. The play pen is a safe place for them. I see absolutely nothing wrong with them as long as you aren’t leaving them in there for long periods and they are still getting necessary play time outside of the playpen.
It is if you just leave the baby in there for hours upon end while you watch tv or whatever, but I found them to be extremely useful if I need to keep the baby safe while I’m in the bathroom or if I need to vacuum or clean.
