is it safe for my baby to come into contact with my mum whos school has swine flu?

Im not sure what to do as my mum has just told me that 2 teachers at her nursery have swine flu.
I have a 3 month old,& we are wondering whether it would be ok for her to see her still as we dont want to spread anything?,even though my mum doesnt have it.just taking precaution.
If your mum does not have flu or any symptoms I think you are maybe being too careful, flu is normally spread by some one breathing on you or spiting as they talk so as long as you and your mum was your hands regularly I don’t see any problem.

What is the safest type of flooring to have in a baby nursery?
anything BUT carpet…
I’ve always loved carpeted floors… until we rented a house w/ ceramic tile….. OMG, I would mop weekly and my mop water was disgusting!! I had to change the water from room to room. The cleanliness is by far the most important thing… especially if you have a thumb sucker who’s at the crawling stage!! GROSS!!
And for a while I didn’t even use any harsh cleaners… I would use very diluted Simple Green or other environmentally friendly & non toxic cleaner in my bucket…. heck, even just some hot fresh water got it clean on several occassions.
Area rugs that can be dropped off at the cleaners periodically are best… or just get a few large bathroom rugs that are machine washable to pad the floor in play areas.
Anything hard… tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl… if it can take a mop – then it’s good!!
