Safe-Haven laws ??
48 out of the 50 states have safe haven laws. I live in a state that has one. The other day they found a baby in a dumpster just minutes old. He still had amniotic fluid in his lungs and had all kind of garden debris on him because he was put in a yard waste one. How could a woman do this to her baby? How could someone just completely disregard the safe haven laws that allow one to take a baby to a hospital or other safe place and give the baby up no questions asked? I know this woman was scared and stuff but I just don’t understand how a mother could do something like that. Especially when there are laws in place meant to prevent it from happening. What do you think? What are your thoughts in general? Thanks.
I understand where you are coming from……I can’t imagine carry a baby for 9 months and not bond with it…..I hear someone throws a baby away, a piece of my heart breaks for that baby and I thank God I was marriage when I had mine.
Some kids may do it becuz of abuse in their family…….we’ll never know…..

At what age is it safe for a baby to have honey or chocolate?
My daughter is 14 months old. My husband has been trying forever to give her chocolate, and I haven’t let him.
Men always seem to want to give their children fun food like chocolate. I have to admit, it’s fun to see a child’s face light up when you give them something so yummy!
Congratulations on sticking with your convictions for so long. It’s not easy!
Children are not supposed to have honey for at least one year. Sometimes even longer depending on what your pediatrician says.
As far as chocolate, it’s probably not a good idea to introduce chocolate into your daughter’s diet. It contains small amounts of caffeine as well as sugar. Neither of which are good for a child. It is beneficial for you and your daughter if she doesn’t get too used to having such treats.
But I also have to say that if you strictly limit the amount she is getting to only one bite every once in a while (every few weeks or so) you probably wouldn’t have any problems because of it. Be aware though, that she will now know what chocolate is and if she sees you with it she is going to want some! 
(P.S. if your baby is lactose intolerant chocolate should be avoided)
