Where to buy baby clothes in osaka japan?
Where can I buy baby clothing in Osaka, Japan? I want to find something like kimonos and baby clothing that has japanese writing on the clothing. I am not sure yet if it’s a boy or girl, so I need to find neutral clothing.
Anyone know of any stores that would sell this in osaka japan?
there is a few department store in front of the osaka station.

Can ya’ll help… breast pump and washing baby clothes quesitons…?
My nesting phase comes and goes… I’ve been cleaning and buying alot of clothes… can anyone tell me why I need to wash all of his clothes before he wears them?
Also, can any of you recommend a breast pump… I’m having a hard time choosing… and because I don’t have one I don’t have bottles and no pacifiers… I’m behind in that cat…

Okay.. thanks for the help with the washing… is it a must to wash them with Dreft, or is an all natural detergent just as good?
You wash the clothes because otherwise they’ll likely irritate your baby’s skin. Clothes in the store often have been starched to make them look good on hangers – that’s not kind to skin. No need to use Dreft or any special ‘baby’ detergent (in fact, I know several babies who had bad reactions to the perfume in dreft – smells great to adults, but not all that great for baby). Any dye/perfume free detergent will do – I love All Free & Clear. I think Tide has a free&clear version as well.
As for breast pumps – I strongly recommend the Ameda Purely Yours. You can buy it online, or go to Target and buy the “Lansinoh Double Electric” pump (same exact pump, just re-packaged and renamed by Lansinoh”. It’s great quality, and an unbeatable price ($150 for the pump alone, or $180-$200 with a carryall or backpack). The Medela Pump in Style and Pump in Style Advance are also good, but more $$ and really no better. In fact, I think the Ameda is better because you can control the suction and speed separately. Plus, the Ameda is a closed system (this means that moisture/milk cannot get into the tubing). With the Medela pumps, it can and you can get mold growing in there – gross!!!
You also mentioned you don’t have bottles yet. I don’t recommend buying a lot of bottles since you don’t yet know what kind your baby will like. Buy like 1 each of a few different kinds and then see which work best. Then you can stock up. Also, remember it is best not to introduce the bottle till your baby is 4-6 weeks old.
