What Would You Want In A Baby Boutique?
What would you want in a baby boutique? Clothing for all kids or just babies? Price? New and used items? What kind of items besides clothing? Specifics of a layout? I want to open a boutique for babies or kids (or both…) when I’m older, just looking for ideas. Thanks!
Sizes up to about 10/12, cuz there’s usually more than one child in a family and doing it all in one shot would be nice. After about that size, kids start wanting to shop at the mall, so it’d probably be a waste of space for you to have bigger sizes. Babies grow out of their stuff so quickly, the clothes are usually gently used, plus parents don’t usually want to spend alot on an outfit a child might outgrow before they can even get it on them, so used. There is a place here that sells clothes, toys, strollers, maternity etc. on consignment, and they do a lot of business. They sell the higher end brand names. I love that store.
I guess the best routes would be higher priced new stuff that caters to the well off looking to own something original, or else to those seeking super bargains. I shop at both.
As to layout clothes in one section, toys in another, and strollers, cribs etc in the last.

My favorite boutique that I always went to for my kids just went out of business and I am like lost without it haha! I’m not picky, I just loved their clothes! I like Carter’s and Target, but are there any stores that you absolutely adore? Online stores are applicable

First, I go to Once Upon A Child, a children’s consignment shop. I also like Target and Wal-Mart (Carter’s clothing for cheap), Gabriel Brothers, and Khol’s. Department stores like Sears and JC Penny are also good to go to because they have cute clothes for very good prices and are often running sales and have coupon offers.
