Finding cute capris – mid-rise but appropriate for an adult?
After having a baby, I gained a little weight and put on a little pudge. Now my waist is still larger than normal but my hips are down to a normal size. However, after donating all of my summer clothes last year while I was pregnant (hint: don’t do that), I need new clothes for the summer. I’m losing weight, so spending more than $20/pair seems a little silly.
Old Navy capris fit well, but their styles are limited. I know that Gap has the same size chart, but their prices are just too high.
It seems that if I go to other stores, namely LL Bean and Lands End, the waists on capris ride too high (above belly button) and the size charts would mean that to fit my waist, it would be just too big everywhere else.
While tailoring is always an option, I would like to avoid it at all costs.
Does anyone have any stores they like to use; purchasing online is the best because with two kids, busy weekends and a full-time job, ”m just plain busy.
i would say no to capris and yes to long shorts. kohls and mervyns have cute cheap stuff like that.

what is wieght is considered overweight for a 3 year old?
i know a 3 year old that weighs 46 pounds and is 39 inches.according to doctors and the clothing size chart,she is overweight.but this child’s parent says it is ok cause it is baby weight.this child wears a size 7 clothing in girls and it is too tight on her.but the mom says she will not starve her child and let her eat anything she wants.maybe i am the wrong one,but at the rate this child is going i think she will be at least 60 pounds by this time next year.she has been through sizes 4t to 7 in less than a year.i see everything wrong with that. because i have neices that are 7 and 9 and they wear a 6 and 9/10 in girls.they are tall for their age too.so what is your opinion on this?
i am concerned because my friend has another child that went through this same thing,and she is now 10 and weighs 130 pounds.at 5 feet
To be honest, while it may seem like a lot now, I’m sure the child will lose the baby weight via exercise and healthy eating once they get older and understand how to mantain a healthy weight.
